Masala chicken with zafrani rice
Ingredients
Chicken leg piece ½ kg
Rice 200 gm
Oil 4 tbsp
Onion 1
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
Coriander leaves ¼ bunch
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric 1 tsp
All spices powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Saffron 1 packet
Yogurt 250gm
Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Method:
1- Cut boneless chicken in small cubes.
2- In a bowl, mix 250gm yogurt, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 packet saffron, salt to taste, 1 tsp all spices powder, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tbsp red chili powder and 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste.
3- Marinate the chicken with this mixture.
4- Cut one onion in slices and put it aside.
5- In a wok, heat 3-4 tbsp oil and cook the marinated chicken with ½ cup water. Add salt to taste.
6- When chicken becomes tender, turn up the flame and allow the water to dry.
7- In a separate pan, heat water. Add turmeric, salt and rice.
8- When rice is boiled, strain the water. Then put the rice again in this pan, cover and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
9- When steam is formed, rice is ready.
10- Dish out the rice. Put chicken on one side and garnish it with coriander leaves.
11- Delicious masala chicken with zaffrani rice is ready to serve.
