Hot & Sour Roast Beef

Hot & Sour Roast Beef
Ingredients
Beef undercut 1 kg
Dry red chilies 8 – 10
Garlic 4 – 5 cloves
Ginger 1 piece
Soya sauce ¼ cup
Salt to taste
Black pepper powder ½ tsp
Water 2 glasses
Ingredients for Dressing
Lemon juice 2 tbsp
Red capsicum 1
Green capsicum 1
Sugar 1 tbsp
Cabbage ¼ piece
Corn flour 1 to 1 ½ tbsp
Salad leaves few
Salt and pepper to taste

Method
• In a pan put together 2 cup water, 1 piece of ginger, 4 – 5 cloves of garlic, ¼ cup soya sauce, ½ tsp black pepper powder, salt to taste, 8 – 10 dry red chilies and 1 kg beef undercut.
• Cover and cook for 15 – 20 minutes, now remove beef and put in an oven proof tray. Bake in a preheated oven of 200 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
• Put the remaining syrup in blender and blend well. Add in 1 chopped red capsicum and 1 chopped green capsicum.
• Put in a pan, cook for few minutes, add 1 tsp sugar, salt and black pepper to taste, cook for few minutes. Thicken sauce with 1 tbsp corn flour paste.
• Remove sauce from fire, garnish plate with ¼ pieces of chopped cabbage, put salad leaves in sides of the palter.
• Now remove roasted beef from oven, cut into thin pieces, put on chopped cabbage. Pour prepared sauce on top. Serve hot.
